THE SHOW AT THE GARDEN THEATRE
THE SHOW AT THE GARDEN THEATRE * It's a new garden grown, which premiers each year, as you never know which of the annualswill volunteer! The Perennials are the first, that come to mind, appearing each year, about this time. * The tall Delphiniums, as their heads do rise to set their gaze, on the early sun's rays! Dressed in delft blue, their Birthday suits, with dark blue eyes, they searchlight the skies. * In the Valley of the Lily, where it is said, the bells of the fairy, ring silently, but their scent is deafening, perfuming the air with Muguet Des Bois, a fragrance so rare! * Their scent blends well, with the tete-a-tete' Those little narcissus, that debut in May. The little Violets, whose scent is a whisper, you must stoop to smell, since she is a gossiper! * Those unruly Glories of Morning, where have they been hiding? We must tie them with twine, on tuteurs made of wire so to new heights of drama, they can aspire! * The re-seeds of annuals are the biggest surprise, because you never know, who might decide to arise! Here comes Four O'Clocks, Mimosa, and Love-in-a-mist, Johnny-Jumps, Miss Daphne and Sweet William's Kiss! * The bee balm, Bergamot, that always sticks around, Like a drunk that stayed on, at the party too long, through the dead of winter, he's been hugging the ground, forming scented lemon carpet, when accidentally stepped on. * But they are mere props, in the show that's to come! They are setting the stage, for the more formal one! Of buxom roses starring in their full bloom! And nothing is sexier, than those divas in June! * Their strong perfume, provocatively arouses, making mere mortal men, take leave of their senses! It makes men dream of wanton women, and all the things, that comes along with them! * As the Jasmine competes with the Honeysuckle, they form an unholy alliance, as they both bloom by chance! * As the Impatients are shy, they must stay in the shadows, for their colors will fade, If they stray from the shade. * The Black Eyed Susans, so gay and haughty, proliferate so freely, they may be deemed naughty! * All competing for the same buzz, to the pollinating insects they sing "Come to us!," as if possessed by lusty sirens, and thus begins the life cycle again * WordPlaya, March 2009

I enjoy writing and since rediscovering the power of poetry, it has brought me much joy! My favorite poet is Richard Brautigan, and I am a big fan of freestyle poetry, as I find it less limiting and most creative. I also like spoken word poetry. ...
