The Sound Almost Forgotten (revised)
I finally almost had you Out of my mind for good I was back to being my normal self Where the world worked like it should But then I heard your voice again The sound almost forgotten Coming out of the phone at me Bringing back memories misbegotten I hang up the phone and brace myself For the sadness about to come Your voice reminding me of a time When I thought you were the one I thought I had stepped out of these shoes But now I'm tying up the laces Bidding farewell to the happiness That the sound of your voice erases
