The Sparrow. part 5
So up the field he hopped to his favorite bit of pasture and finding friendly birds, began his last attempt to allure the trust he'd always longed for, the camaraderie the love he'd hoped would go both ways, both from and toward s he. In a very short time he found this was where he belonged so many hold ups and let downs, so many times wronged. Here was where the spirit of truth could start to take effect. The sparrow could be himself, at last, could work and then reflect. The owl would not be let down, the sparrow had not failed. The honesty would show because they had both prevailed. What had held these two unlikely birds together? Whatever it was, it is, and will prevail, now and forever.
