The Speech
The speech was racing through my head It was all I could think about All I could concentrate on I heard my teacher but only as a quiet mumble Suddenly there was a loud noise that awakened me The time I dreaded had finally come I tried to hide bit I was noticed too soon The room was quiet and patient My eyes wandered from face to face As I spoke my mind wandered too far to reach I just felt myself shuffling back and forth My stomach was spinning but soon it went away At the sound of a beep my mind returned to me What I had dread so much came to end too quickly
