The Spoils
In the end, I did the leaving A victory It had to be Cuz one on one, when we were done You never got the best of me Afterward, I came out shining I wish they'd seen I came out clean I never had to raise my voice While you were wrong and crass and mean When we start, we come out swinging I never blink I never think Nothing that I did was wrong I had the will to cut the link Now I'm basking in the glory You won't return I've slashed and burned The world where being right was Being us I think, at last I've learned.
