The crime against humanity that they themselves commit, Not writing for themselves anymore, But to become part of the common market, For common writers, Who want common recognition. Fuck the posers who sprout rhymes that have no reason, Just to belong, instead of standing apart, With a work that is your own, Instead of adding verses to someone else’s poem. Singing praises to those undeserving, Giving voices to those who have spoken too much. Crying for those who are sick of crying themselves. The pain and trauma once real now becomes commercial, For those seeking to add applause to their résumé, To fit in with at least one crowd, Who forget about them after the night ends, And the recital becomes another faded memory. Stop emulating the past, Find your own damn voice Make your own splash but don’t repeat the ripples, Move on, grow, the true poet’s soul, Belonging to himself, and not the public.
