The Taker

The earth fills my mouth, dirt choking the esophagus The cold and clammy hands shove me down…down… My cry hoarse and tattered can be heard less and less You are the lion who knocks his prey into the ground Wishing with every fiber of mybeing I was stronger The pain, the blood, the spit, the odor This holy ground consumes me becoming colder…colder..colder Being the weaker I give in, can’t take this any longer Raped of my dignity, my soul, my body and my pride This honey you have taken This bitter core is all that’s left inside You have exceeded your expectations, no reason to do this all again You leave me this bruised and naked carcass Blood, sweat, and salty tears to taste You’ve branded me this unforgotten fear..this unforgotten pain This memory of you I can’t erase
