That teaser day 
has come again, 
enough to rouse 
the sleeping sun. 
It warms the earth

to bring the thaw

of what's to come,

No, don't succumb!

While buds all swell, 
increasing in girth, 
it's warmth carresses 
the still frozen earth. 
Oh cruel winter 
please be done, 
so you can wake 
the sleeping sun!
