The Thinking Thing In The Fog
Such incredible things I felt: A river sparkled within my eyes. A night breeze brought jasmine My heart was thrilled to seek. When I looked up with my face, I tasted the lemon-scented rain. Being was a wondrous marvel When health kept pain away. But did I know my own soul? The bulk of me was a response. I was merely exposed to inputs, I could not see my life force. The notion of 'Where' was void, Did the same not go for 'When'? We reveled in this game of fun, We murdered for land and time. We aged, we grew tired of life, And died with empty love-tanks. But with no clouds in my head The foolishness took its leave. Suddenly, in the clearest sight I saw the great kingdom shining. That fog of thought had lifted. I became a king to serve it all.
