The truth behind their masks
The truth behind their masks No one can see They smile, laugh, and make jokes until they're weak But it’s just a disguise To cover up those falling tears That they refuse to show to everyone around them The truth behind their masks Will one day reveal the real story Of their damaged and tortured souls They sing to the point of getting sore throat Just to show off on their family and friends that they are happy When in fact pain is all they know and feel The truth behind their masks Conceal everything All they do is pretend to be ok Just so they can remain popular in society They put on a cheerful act to the world When it has always been a big lie.
