The Truth (what a tricky thing it is)

There's a guy that only tells the truth like I depend on substances and objects for happiness I'd love to take you out but i don't think your time is worth The last twenty dollars i have in my pocket from the minimum wage job I got Even though I was the second choice for getting hired My availability was wide open because I have no ambitions or motivations to go to any kind of school and better myself Besides I already have a girl on call that's not as cute as you and I don't really like her so I don't have to deal with those emotional investments and barriers That are presented whenever i see you See i like you and that's dangerous because you could do damage You could make me want to be a better person Then when I try there's a possibility of failure I'm lazy and I want to stay a pathetic self loathing twenty something man The real world is hard and it hurts a lot, but this way i can just go on existing Pretending it's the worlds fault i'm fucked up and average and not my own You're probably attracted to my sarcastic sense of humor and witty charm And that's based on keeping real conversation out of the picture So I guess you could just call me sometime but I won't answer So I feel superior then maybe when I get drunk I'll tell you how pretty you are You'll start to fantasize about what kind of guy you think I am But I'm not that guy and I'll never be him It was really nice to meet you but if you're as mature as I think steer clear of me and we'll call it a night and can I buy you a drink?

Pothetic

Don't go near that elevator - that's just what they want us to do... trap us in a steel box and take us down to the basement
