They are the unknown The people you never see They are never shown You've never heard of me They are the unsung heroes The mind behind the idea They never step on your toes But they are always near They are the writers The ones who get the job done They are the fighters The ones behind the fun They are the women behind the throne The ones who organise it all And they do it without a moan Even when they fall They are the teachers The ones who give you strength They are the preachers Who'll go to any length They are the story tellers They bring the joy They are the little fellers Who designed that toy They make a contribution And they always care They help stop pollution They are always fair They are the people Who stand behind the scenes The creators and the designers The ones who keep things clean They are the best friends Who are never thanked They are there at the end The ones on whom you banked They are the supporters Who stand in the crowd They are the daughters Who are never loud They are the heroes Who make the world go round They are the ones who make things go And the ones who make no sound They are the masterminds With their feet firmly planted on the ground They are good and they are kind And they'll always be around These people are all heroes For thanks they never ask And even though they are invisible They still complete their task
