THE UNYIELDING

THE UNYIELDING (For the recovering Wally) In vain is the sunset’s gravity More landscapes await your lightning Nature’s top secrets for your mind's ears only Your soul will not become an exile In the land of death though, strong storm Rock yourvessel of dream And time becomes a sphinx Hunting the rest of your noontime You are freed; you paid more than the ransom. Birds are waiting to be interviewed, Flowers' momentary feelings to be interpreted; Befriend this grey dawn, don’t keep the sun waiting. Idedicatethisto my friend Great Wally who hasbeen inspirational to me and has contributed alot to this wonderful forum. Except you are new around, you’ll remember he had a serious accident sometimes in February this year and has since being recuperating though I've not heard much about him but I believe he is well and would soon join us back. To read his great posts search for:Wally or Thoth (his username) fromCommunity/Browse Profile and you'll be amazedat how cruel death could have been. Line 1: I mean death by 'sunset' Line 2:Lightning here symbolizes the flash of his camera. Traveling, taking photos ofnature and writing beautifully about nature are bestof his hubbies. He is as a matter of fact in love with nature The comment above is just to makeyou geta clearer picture of the meaning of this poem. Much thanks to Dawn for giving us updates in the past concerning him.
