The usual suspects

·Yogibear

We cannot go on, my heart wants to break! Where did we go wrong, for heaven's sake? As we lay together that last Sunday night, Neither could sleep... came dawn's wintry light. Hastily dressing, a few things to pack; Must move forward, dare not look back! At her front door, that cold Monday morn, A brief parting kiss...we're sad and forlorn. Driving away, heart aching, soul leaden; Time alone searing pain it will deaden. Our time together had been deep and intense; Why did it end?...seemed not to make sense. But mistrust and suspicion had arrived unannounced; Then lies and deceit suddenly pounced. Trust, like virginity, the wise will explain, Once lost, one cannot ever regain. The tale I recount contains nothing new; What happened to us escapes very few. Details may vary, but the plot is the same: The usual suspects must shoulder the blame!
