the very breath of life is death

in the valley loneliness where the shadows creep swallowed by my lack of bliss the angels watch me weep in this dark and heartless night weary , weak and worn I crawl beneathe the dying light of the moon that mourns the icy breath of frigid death blows from hill to hill snaps my fragile hapless neck and breaks my aching will to neglect I’m left dejected along the bloody bank of this river wrecked and wretched flowing slow and dank foaming at the mouth I doubt everything in Love rabidly I now do shout and curse the Lord above sick upon your dying swan all these demons screaming for heaven and its holy pond must be just for dreaming if the intent is punishment for all the sins of man why for them must I repent and be the one you damn hold the heathen’s to the fire not my hallow heart i sacrificed all my desire yet, theirdesires dark “in life you lost and lost again," the Lord did finally state, "now in death you finally win so come up to my gate for you see the sinners glee as they long to live everything they want from me except the death I give and through death am i not giving the only life to love that is the life worth truly living in heaven up above.”
