The Wall
The Wall There it stands, facing the world with it's impenetrable gaze, Where it slowly warms and cools through the hurried haze. As the cloth of time wipes away it's grain of being still it stands, still it stares, on-one really seeing. No-one really seeing something which is theirs in a world looking at it's worries fears and cares. A feeler into futility conquers this silent strength, A feeler's fonds, a feeler's fingers find the fearless length. And as it stands, foundations shake, freeing a floundering fit. When down with yell it falls towards it's sodden ashen pit. Where it stood is nothing now, except the sky's expanse, And on the ground, nothing seen bar for a dusty dance. A dusty dance which was so fine, but has acted now it's part. For a world which builds and breaks the bonds of its aching heart.
