The Windmills of Destiny Karif had often dreamed of the mountain with a light And so went forth upon the quest, his destiny to find He found the ocean blue, slept in the desert night And the windmills of destiny kept turning in his mind At a market square in Shiraz he was smitten by desire He found secrets of the universe upon the Astral Plane He met the story teller and the man with eyes of fire And the windmills of destiny were turning once again He gained hypnotic powers, he produced moving light He was counselled by a mystic in a City of the Dead From the clutches of his captors he fled into the night And the windmills of destiny kept turning in his head He found the path of life does not always go to plan When on a quest take care one is not led by the blind Karif set out as just a boy, returned as a grown man And the vision of his destiny was burning in his mind
