There is time to change
Now that their love was all but gone To fade from time and sight, Drowned in darkness and despair Running from the healing light Where smiles and kisses once were shared Now echoes bitter tears For months of sadness, joy and rage Brought in the stoic years For so he thought “he is the one” But nothing would he contrive And doomed the strength of what could have been To keep that love alive While one would dream of days to come The other could not seem to care The puffy eyes of the heart that beats To one coloured debonair Now such the fable of their love Had come to its last page With no fire to carry the embers on But just forgotten with age.
