This Night

I wish you were here to share this night All of the stars in the sky so bright Everything is so beautiful and serene Only you are missing from this scene You've been gone away for so long But I know now you did nothing wrong I only wish you were in my arms to keep So tonight wouldn't be so bittersweet I sit in the grass with a pen in hand Writing down the feelings I can't understand I said I had written my last about you But those words turned out to be untrue I hope you are happy wherever you are As I look up at the twinkling stars I just hope one day I can feel the same And find an end to all of this pain
