This point of deliberate ignorance.
Once upon a daydream Your words were the only thing Your voice was the only one thing That meant anything to me. And now I sit belated How am I so jaded? Why do I debate it? You were nothing short of disaster Yet your love is what I'm after, I'm still the only one who makes your pain into laughter. I guess I'm still ignorant I have to be forgetful, I still feel like the little girl grabbing pills by the fist full, And nothing the world has to say Will take this pain away, But you make me live another day, I don't know, What stopped me that night, The one I wrote goodbye, I didn't even cry. But you stopped me, You held me in your arms Even though it was all wrong You opened my eyes, you forced me to breathe. Too bad I didn't see, You weren't there for me. You only wanted the benefits to keep. Now I lay here all alone You won't pick up the phone I'll hide my pain with fears I'll smile through the years, But when you cross my mind, Your memory stops time, Just to say you're mine. You put my heart in line. But it blossoms than its done The thought is overrun By your thinking to belong. I don't mean more than just a night, Even though for you my heart and mind constantly fight It disappears to you when you turn out the light. I can't tell if I love you Or If you should die in your sleep Maybe kiss you too, But what you did to me, I use to feel awe struck, Now Its all just messed up, And all you hear is the sound of your own wants, I was so young There was nothing I could do But fall in love with you, And now there is nothing I can say To try and throw this all away.. I can't throw any of it away. I'm sorry now, That I met you that one day That I'm wasting my life away For a man that will never make me safe.
