Thoughts on Ignorance

When I walk into a store and I am judged by the color of my skin the length of my hair, the size of my pocketbook You are already looking at me with hawk eyes as if i'm about to stick your precious merchandise in my pocket and run Little do you know I have more money in my pocket than you These are the things that make up Stereo-typing!! When I walk into school, and I am not wearing the latest fashion, sporting nike shoes and my hair is all wacked out by a hair cut from a maniac mom Little do you know I have a mind and heart to give These are things that make you Judgemental!!! When I am not allowed to be myself for fear of being judged by you. When I have something to say but you only hear what you want me to say. Little do you know what I have to say Might change your life! These are the things that make you ignorant!!! When I am not allowed to be a part of something because of the color of my skin , or I don't speak your language, Or you just don't like the my neighborhood and you look me dead in the eye yet you do NOT see me at all.. This makes you racist!!!! Little do you know I have feelings the same as you Do I Not bleed red when I am cut Cry when I am hurt Wish and dream as you do and deep in my heart I pray that All the stereo-typing, judgemental, ignorant,racist people will change... Please stop the ignorance in america today.... This is for all the people who judge someone on something other than what the person is..Please take the time to get to know someone before you judge them...With love for all mika
