Through the Eyes of a Child.

The world in which we live can be such a horrible place. So many worries to burden, so many struggles to face, So much anger and destruction, so much heartache to endure, So many natural disasters, and diseases with no cure. Sometimes, it's much more calming to think of things I miss. Sometimes it's so much easier to sit and reminisce. To go back to being a child, so innocent, naive. When life was an adventure, a land of make believe. When days were sunny, though no sun, and laughter filled the air. When we played all day to our heart's content, we didn't have a care. When money held no value, and to us, a pound was a lot. When we were truly over-excited about the Christmas presents we got. When we always burst with energy and never seemed to stop. When we got to spend our pocket-money on sweeties from the shop. When we had a thirst for knowledge and a hunger to achieve. When we didn't feel self-conscious wearing our heart upon our sleeve. There are limitless experiences viewed through a child's eyes, That are so very different from today, it comes as no surprise, That we as adults see the world in a very different light. It's no longer an adventure, but a never-ending fight.
