Through the Mist and Rain I Crawl
Through the mist and rain I crawl - In woods of grief so great; With dread and anguish now I creep - What next? - my plight? my fate? Through bushes dense I grope my way, So cold, so full of fear; Across the rocks I scramble and slip, Now through the mist I hear…… A roar so loud - it shakes the ground, And penetrates my brain; Behind a boulder now I crouch - My life has been in vain? ‘Tis closer still - the mountain sways, A sudden jolt – I reel; Stones now tumble down the slopes, So shocked - so scared I feel! One eye I open – oh shock and horror! Through the scrub I spy - A grin so close, a face so near…. So dazed – so still I lie…… His face looks down with such a smile - “Wake up!” he says, “It’s Dad!” Relief! - my eyes I open wide, “It’s time for school!” – so sad!

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
