tints of steel
When you’re young Things can seem black or white There is nothing but a wrong or right As you grow then you may find If you open up your youth set mind Things can drift, Slide.. Fade to grey Should be, could be, maybe, might, It isn’t all just black or white Then will you know just what to do? Every foot has another shoe Within tints of steel can you hide? Which way to fight will you decide Down inside and through the night When the days light comes breaking through You still won’t know just what to do. Just do it with love What ever you do. To my darling daughter who’s youthful stubbornness inspired me to try to get her to see another perspective. But not without a few years grace.
