To a childhood friend (edited)
Butterflies dance Driving ourselves into a frenzy Copying fluid movements With supposed grace Smiling into the sun Falling into each other Holding on, Blindly Needed to take initiative Had to think Did you realise I was too young then Or did you conveniently forget? Do you still remember? Does your mind still wonder? Do you wish? I know you were young As I was then Yes, I do forgive But does it hurt so much Even a letter Is too much evidence Of your guilt?
