To the mothers of today, I write this is from your sons, yes your little hero’s grown us to be man and told us not to be like our fathers sent us away and told us to bring glory and end the wars but yet your pillows are soaked in tears We disobeyed………. Gave up education, Took crime as a career and our pay off was icely cold bars joined the army and killed our brothers broke into villages and destroyed homes, cries were heard from all four corners of the earth with infants wailing their lungs out in sight of their parents being slain to silent worlds The war ended; there were none to kill …. too ashamed, driven by guilty and haunted by our sins we stayed away from home married daughters of foreign worlds some love and kissed other man, for that our fathers disowned us, BUT YOU STILL WROTE LETTERS TO US Now its time to make things right Wipe your sorrows, and put your smiles back Will pay lobola and remarry our peers All we ask is forgiveness, the world played us with propaganda Promised us gold and palaces, but all we wanted was a home MOTHERS...WE COMING HOME
