Too busy to be grown up
I laugh because I mean it We laugh because we've just seen it I play because I know there's too much work for me alone to do We play because we need joy to make it through I surprise myself to be certain I'm still alive We surprise each other in order to thrive I share my curiousity so we can seriously meet We share our curiousity to find the path on which we're meant to place our feet I let go of reality so that upon returning I can grab even more of it We let go of reality to see opportunities where we otherwise would've quit I pretend because I want to know how else it can be done We pretend because to life there's more than fun I take my time to speed up what I want to see happen We take our time because we're too wise to repeat the unwanted pattern What's considered sane and what's considered wild Is not of importance when you're as serious as a child So the next time something makes you frown, don't worry just grow down.
