Picture a father carrying his infantdaughterup tohis shoulder She’s dying, she needs a hospital or the Lord will soon hold her The mother holds her daughterslimp form asthe father drives She looks deepintoher mothers eyes and begins to cry Imagine the thoughts flowing throughthat mothers mind as she watches her daughter slowly die ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Emotionlessand clearlywasted, the drunk realizes hes late His wife expects him home, sohedecides to drive despite his state He gets into his truckand turns the key He doesn’t seem to hear the carcoming fromdown the street He backs up fiercely with a step on the gas With thediesel engine revving,he backs up - fast ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The father peers back to his wife and child Worry is painted on the face of the mother, the father musters up a reassuring smile As he turns back to face the road He noticesthe truckback uptoo close ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Their world's collide in a colossalcrashof sadness Oneincident exemplifyingthe entire worlds madness While the father anddrunk survive the days ending Themother and her child move on to what’s waiting
