I long for the stillness of heart when beats grow mellow and nostrils flare, at the wetness of mother earth that, spring upon the gentle kiss of morning dew and blends, with my soul's desire I long for sacred moments of serenity, when even granite rocks fall prey, to tender lullabies held captive on autumn winds and melt, caressing hardened hearts as they sink into glorious chambers, where the ancients roam I long for slow swaying fields of golden grain, and velvet beds of sleepy chrysanthemums that rest upon one's soul, the liquid cries of Poseidon beneath a deep azure and turquoise reverie, with tides that gently spill upon the shores, in the quiet of a sweeping night I long for indigo-colored skies with frivolous stars that dance and adorn, the auburn sandals of Zeus himself, hung there like a sacred painting that is soul-invigorating, Oh! to place me in the presence of God content as He, smiles…
