In Shamanism you represent the 3 worlds- Upper, Middle and Lower... Microcosm of the cosmos you are at once interconnectedness and ancestry, fertility and growth strength and immortality... a sturdy trunk, roots going deep. Trees, branches, metaphors, for our bodies- bronchi and bronchioles, the circulatory system carrying oxygen and blood as water, sap carbon dioxide... Skin, organs, bark, leaves blending... Trees- you are life's very image and the ancients knew that you house spirits... You are the evergreen of Christmas the symbol on a Celtic wedding ring- are a family tree... And your uppermost limbs reach the Heavens as your roots dig down anchoring firm.
