Trinity (A Brazilian Sonnet)

Trinity(A Brazilian Sonnet) Body, the horse on which we ride, blindfold of surroundings and flight, carried along the path of life— strewn with rift and strife, absorbed in self-aura of delight. Soul is what we search till end, awed by its shining subtle self; a glorified replica of physical body, we continue to think, feel and study. Spirit is God’s breathe of life, incapable of evil and always pure, knows no birth, death for sure; the Universe moves with this trinity, last thing within, is not sin, divinity; origin of which we wish to attain. ----------------------------------------------- Author Note: A man is made of Body, Soul and Spirit, as per Western Philosophy. The Eastern philosophy terms it as the abode of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar, the creator, the protector and the destroyer respectively. Both the school of thoughts is in unison with this Trinity that holds this Universe. This is my first effort on a Brazilian Sonnet. Format followed 5/4/3/2/1 ------------------------------------------------- rajkumar@kolkata 09-08-2011
