Triumph over Trauma

Through time seeking, ever learning after all these years I've finally found "it" -affirmation " voice." Spurred by, guided by, others I now know that this restlessness, compelling need has a name... It is more than merely being a writer it's the catharsis of- bearing witness. It is a knowledge that- even if justice doesn't come through the courts- ( through some other means) there comes justice in breaking silence uttering the unspeakable unveiling hard truths... And this brings triumph over trauma, a mending of what's broken... For we, the abused, trampled down our outcry - that venting of words written or spoken they're a song of sweet survival a shout of hope and healing a primal howl- joyous, strong.
