True Love
As your succulent lips slowly break from mine My heart stops, waiting in anticipation For the overwhelming passion to return. The time clicks by, hour by hour, day by day Days turn into weeks, months, then years And im still waiting here for your hearts return. You’ve had my heart longer than you know. From the first time our chemistry met, My hearts been in your hands I fear my worst mistake was letting you slip through mine For I’ve never been able to regain your heart Which I so deeply desire. I sit replaying events over and over in my head, Constantly wondering what if? Would it change your heart or would it make it awkward? Our friendship, so great but yet never seems like enough You’re my every thought, yet yours are else where. As others grab your heart and play games with it My heart aches, knowing how much it must hurt And if it doesn’t bother you, it breaks my heart even more Knowing you gave them a chance, and they just threw it away And the chance I long for, may never come. Yet I still wait passionately here for your hearts return.
