Two Oak Trees

You have laid your indestructible foundation For life, here on this hard and hostile ground Thus I soak in your emanated confidence, Which echoes through me like a soothing sound. Equal it may be where I find my self And equal the cruelty I might get to see Your principles you hold within my reach Thus your presence is to Zeus as it is to me. Each time you lean in the manner you do When various forceful winds start to flex their muscles My heart stops to beat in the fear for you. My moral basis begins to shake, in width and length Just for you to prove it to me again That growing together provides the needed strength.
