Ukraine - What next I Ask?

Oh Vladimir! How pleased and happy you seem - Oh Vladimir! So many forced to die; You sit and smile, your troops now fight and kill - What now for lands you wish to occupy? You wish to seize Ukraine with rockets and bombs - Women and children are injured and slain; No intent, you said, to conquer and fight? More lies! Oh Putin. What can you gain? Will your Russian families now react? Brothers, fathers, sons now killed in war; Families with children stricken by your plans, All to pander to your pride - and more! Attacks by Russian rockets tanks and shells Result in bloodshed, destruction, death and grief; Explosions from rockets light up the evening sky, All are shocked and stunned in Mariupol and Kiev. In Ukraine women and children forced to flee, To Poland where help and safety can be found; And many shelter underground in Kyiv, As Russian shells and rockets the city pound. Ukrainian sons and fathers are so brave - They stay to fight your siege – so fierce, so dire; Your forces repelled - time and time again, Such bravery we’ve seen - whatever may transpire. In Crimea, Libianska, Donetsk and Kyiv Your troops do battle – but all in deadlock; And now an anti-Russian mood unfolds, As people round the world are gripped by shock. You alone are blamed for all of this, You alone for death and carnage wrought; Oh Vladimir! Still so happy and pleased? Oh Vladimir! So many deaths you’ve brought! We will all hold you accountable……..

Love creativity - especially writing - poems especially. Love my wife, cats, our church, reading, warm weather (so rare here!) and snow - quite common these days - even in spring....
