Under The Spell

Haunted for many years By the promise of the demon The craving lived in me All those years I have been dreaming I dreamed of our encounter And all the promised magic I never knew the battle For my soul would be so tragic In the heat of last years summer The long, long wait was over Face to face we stood And the virtual gates opened I passed to the other side Through worlds of fantasy I strayed The demon took my hand And gave me everything I craved He showed me worlds I never Dared to dream about Enchanted by their beauty I left reality behind But the demon never spoke Of the price I`d have to pay He tried to take my soul For the games that I would play I`m still under the spell I am fighting for my soul If I spend to much time with him He just might reach his goal I do not want him to go There`s a part of him I love He`s got two different faces One below and one above I feel he wants to take away My love for poetry He is gelous of my friends He`s always calling me I know I shoud, but I can`t let go My bond to him is strong I crave the things that he can give Even though they might be wrong I feel like he`s a part of me That I can`t live without I am bored out of my skull Whenever we`re apart I know he wants to take my soul He wants to live in me But if I could defeat him I would not only be free I could turn him in my slave He would act on my command Otherwise the demon Would control a soulles man This is a realy old poem. I wrote it a few months after I got my first PC, and of course, immediate game addiction followed that lasted for several months. Until the novelty wore off :) Thought I`d dust it off a bit and post it to see what you think. :)
