Undying Dreams

Voices carry across the deep Urging me to fall asleep; A whispered promise of slumbered peace To set my angry heart at ease. Broken dreams inside their tomb, New dreams struggle inside their womb. Hope circles and caresses injured skin Damaged and stained by a trivial sin. Viewing heaven from afar, Looking at the same bright star. Dreams executed through senseless war Like hopes shut in a tightening jar. Sunset, thoughts, and windy dreams Travel through and under, deep, Trying hard to mend my heart Since forever we've been apart. Now my love returns to thee From distances hard to see, Our hearts one, and yet so far I hope we cherish that same bright star.
