Dark and dangerous dreams Surface at night Causing her to awake Out of fright You can't blame her Her actions are untamed Because seeing visions of terror Is hard for her to sustain The psychiatrist asks her To thoroughly explain But she can't She feels so ashamed So the psychiatrist asks her 'What is there to be ashamed about?' 'Is your self esteem low?' 'Are you having feelings of doubt?' She continues to stare on With a blank expression Causing the doctor To boil with aggression However this girl Does not seem to care As much as uttering one syllable She wouldn't dare What is it that causes her To act this way? IS it really that frightening For her to say? What is it that she is so afraid Of putting on display The psychiatrist continues to stare at this girl Bewildered in dismay So he decides to hang up his coat And just call it day The girl goes home wondering Why this nightmare was so hard for her to reveal I guess now her only solution is to spend some time alone To discover how it really makes her feel By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
