Watching transfixed an opalescent, rainbow bubble. That helicopter feeling again; the empty sadness released when it bursts. Man overboard; heart over head, head over heels. When everything’s squared up on this thimble hunt of a lifetime scrambled eggs become omelette. Love like a shy sea-urchin’s tubercles hidden from gaze; delicate, powerful. The jay bird finds its imagined nest; the happiness will wait. Until.
