Until Then
Until then Mountains and caves, let them crumble Into the sea, let them stumble And crash And an enormous flash of energy Slices through the wave whipped land A single body can never understand - anything, Only when the tides have tumbled all structure And the dirt has been washed away, as a butcher Would wipe away blood from his hands and the till Us - the blanched young boy at the windowsill Realising now how everything passes, Aghast at the man with the knife, wearing glasses, We cannot shatter our inhibitions, only when The white streaked water cleanses our souls and our shoes - And not until then.
