Until They Faltered

Don't call it a lifetime. Lifetimes are long, but lives are short, like his and hers and yours and mine. Who determines who's next to drown in the dark? The Dark: so unknown, and yet known all too well... as we have all seen it tug at those we love until they faltered. You cannot resist the dark. It's an unavoidable, bottomless trench hidden somewhere along your path.
