Show me your face, Don’t play these games, Help me understand, What you’re trying to say. Your words spill out, Like a relentless flood, Crashing over your mouth, And rushing into the air. Tears blur more than eyes, They blur the mind. Your thoughts are scrambled, Thrown across your mind, Like a train wreck across the tracks. But take a breath, And listen to his voice, Follow it like a guiding light, And hear his words. Let them cradle you, safe and tight. When he speaks, it’s like a whisper, Soft and caressing to the ear. Never shouting, Never accusing, Only helping, And making that smile, Return once again.
