Used, Bruised And Confused

Taking advantage of people Is very wrong And that's why most people Don't get along So why do people Take advantage of you and me And skip along happily With their little hearts full of glee People think that I am just a toy But to be honest with you It makes me feel rather annoyed Darling if that is what you are doing Just tell me don't be coy I thought we were supposed to go together Like metal alloys But instead you decided to use me And you won't tell me why Personally I think that is very shallow Of you to deny It breaks my heart And it makes me want to cry What happened to the sweet person Beneath all of your selfish pride That you are so desperately Trying to hide I've tried and tried To search my soul To find the missing part of me That someone stole And that someone would be you You stick to the story Just like glue But like I said Taking advantage of people is wrong And if you keep it up Then you will have nobody to depend on By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
