My dreams are shattered,my hopes are dashed 
My eyes are misty,the future is bleak 
My love is lost, happiness is past tense 
Songs that made me happy,bring only sad memories 
I toss and turn at night 
I swallow tears at your sight 
I put up a brave face...cheerful and carefree 
Yet I’m shattered inside...hopeless and disillusioned 
I look at the green pastures of happiness 
I am thirsty for the fountain of love 
Yet I’m a prisoner,in this valley of tears 
If love is pleasing ,why can’t it be never leaving 
Like the day and night that never fail 
Like the heartbeat that never stops 
If love is magic 
Why can’t it be everlasting 
Like the rainbow full of promise 
Like the poets'endless rhyme 
If life is love ,why is it not worth living 
Why have my dreams become nightmares
