Vampires Don't Sparkle

Vampires Don’t Sparkle Vampires don’t sparkle; they can’t be in the sun They do sleep in coffins They crave human blood They can’t stand garlic, holy water makes them burn Stake them in the heart, To ashes they will turn They’re not too fond of silver Crucifixes they do fear Since when don’t they adorn fangs? When it’s their fangs they love too bare! Although we like to read -that vampires are so sweet Remember boys and girls, to them we are just meat So cover up your neck; lay your cross upon your chest Lace some garlic on your bed post And try to hope for the best For books like Twilight make us believe we need not fear It offers us a love story; and that’s the tale we want to hear But history has showed us not just once and much more than twice Those vampires want to kill us; and they’re really not that nice Written by: Lori DeTata Cortez
