Vanilla
Vanilla did you say? Oh yes, that’s funny. Not heard that before - ever. Crystal fragments of a quiet countenance reach far and as the letters rub away, your presence achingly near reassures me. Something so overwhelmingly evocative from such an unexpected source. An extravagant luxury too good to be kept secreted in a phial only brought out for special occasions. Sprinkle it liberally! Perk up your dishes. Perfectly passionate parfait yes please! Always yes! And even as the light fades so I can’t see your true colours I know you’re still there waiting to impart your mellow warmth; a taste of exotic, wanton darkness crushed between trembling fingers and trailed across parted lips. I inhale the heady scent as you voice your pleasure. Sweet buttercream softness, too much too soon? I put my ingredients away and wonder if I should have served cheese.
