Vengeance

·th3m1st

Leave the doors open, Give into a lonely visitor, The shadow that gazes, Into a desolate hallway, Where we all hang on walls, Smiling forever, But we would never, Take one more minute, To read a story, Discover our glory, That froze us in time, Like the building of our storms, When the lightning crashes, Destroying its own path, But never to protect the skies, All for an unmatched vengeance, Until only our picture is salvaged, And we close the doors, That hold us bare, So that we are forced to smile, At the very shadow we are after.
