Visiting a life left behind

I wish I had angels of mercy chained to me, And not demons of deceit singing to me fiction that there is still hope. Do I wake and continue to try in the vain hopes of a reunion between a beating heart and a future of serenades and smiles? Let the sunset carry the missing moments that sank like bitter rocks in the vengeful tides that unfolded for me. Let me be swept away to somewhere where our song still floats in the wind and the light still shines as I reconsider existence.
