I await the night time noises The mocking, whispered voices To come hissing like the dead They arrive when I am sleepless To plunder through my weakness And turn my vision misty red Now the darkness is pervading I am laid here and I’m waiting For those voices that I dread I know that they’ll be here soon And come sneaking into my room Where they float above my bed I can hear the night time noises The mocking, whispered voices And they’re screwing up my head
