Wandering where you are.

A path’s been trampled through the streets that line my fragile mind. My search, thus far, yields nothing much. I don’t know what to find. You took your leave quite suddenly without so much a word, and took with you some sacred part that in my soul you stirred. Lonely spaces fill my mind with gloom in every nook. I wander through the darkness as I wonder what you took. When suddenly a light comes on; A thought to me occurs: My heart lies trampled in the dust of places we once were.
